EnglishBusiness was present at the Personal Nord fair also this year - providing free water for our visitors in support of the "Viva con Agua" project.

The 20 participants arrived not knowing what to expect from the cross-cultural workshop they had been invited to. 4 hours later they had experienced severe culture shock, explored the meaning of diversity and had a lot of fun – without leaving the conference room in Cologne!

In the spirit of neighbourly cooperation, EnglishBusiness and Aspria Uhlenhorst got together to offer a CompactMINI workshop on “How to use small talk to make successful business connections” for Aspria guests.

Our last Happy Hour brought us to Hamburg´s new Irish Pub „Barley & Malt” – including a terrific whiskey tasting!

We had a great time at our "Strategic Language Management" event featuring a best practices talk by Anna Adam from Hapag-Lloyd, followed by a taste of our latest training format, “CompactMINIs”.

On our amazing terrace overlooking the Osterbek canal we held our annual summer partner party with our trainers and translators. We even managed to have the party during the only week this summer that the weather has been nice in Hamburg!

EnglishBusiness employees spent a lot of time on the road in June. We kicked things off by travelling to Frankfurt for the German Investor Relations Association’s 15th annual conference and also attended the Human Resources Management Conference in Berlin.

This year our summer workshop took place on the water and afterwards we moved on to learn the art of Asian cooking… dragon boating sure works up an appetite!

How does it feel to be an outsider surrounded by another culture, and to not understand the norms and rules? In our “Cross-Cultural Simulation” event the participants were able to find out first hand!

Dr. Cathy Molohan was a juror at Hamburg’s "science speed dating" slam event in which participants were given three minutes to present complex scientific topics.

Our partner party was a real hit! A big thank you to all our trainers and translators - without you we wouldn’t be where we are!

In December we celebrated our usual Happy Hour in a special way – at our place on Jarrestrasse. We truly enjoyed the lovely evening with wonderful guests, mulled wine, snacks and even live music!

Along with 20 other companies, EnglishBusiness was granted the Hamburg “family-friendly” certificate in a ceremony on 28 August.
